Description

I thought this was really cool.
This 2 dollar bill is from 1928 - 80 years old!
The back is so old that the design has been changed. On the back of this one is Monticello, the estate of Thomas Jefferson. Now it has the 2nd Continental Congress on the back, at the signing of the Declaration of Independence... or at least an artist's rendition of it. The Declaration of Independence was actually signed over a period of time, spanning from July to sometime later in the year. The only person who didn't sign the Declaration was John Dickinson, who joined the Continental Army later on. I think he drafted some really important document... I know he wrote the Olive Branch Petition, but I could have sworn he wrote something else very important...
According to mayangirl, "Dickinson wrote (I think it was called) Letters From A Pennsylvania Farmer which were about how displeased he was with the English government. He wanted something done, just not a radical change."

This is really nifty. I love looking at out-dated currency. It's always interesting to see which historical aspects get chosen.

BTW, Dickinson wrote (I think it was called) Letters From A Pennsylvania Farmer which were about how displeased he was with the English government. He wanted something done, just not a radical change.
